Responsible for the design and layout of a website. This includes the overall look
and feel of the site and the user experience.
Reporting to: Operations Manager.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities.
- Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and goals for the website
- Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Designing the overall layout and visual appearance of the website, including the colour scheme, typography, and imagery
- Ensuring that the website is optimized for user experience, including usability and accessibility Developing and implementing the front-end code for the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ensuring that the website is responsive, so it looks and functions correctly on multiple devices and screen sizes
- Collaborating with developers to ensure that the website is fully functional and integrated with any necessary back-end systems
- Optimizing website images and other visual elements for fast loading speed
- Staying up to date with the latest web design trends and technologies
- Continuously testing the website to ensure compatibility and responsiveness
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics and website performance to improve the website visibility and performance.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, conversion rate optimization and A/B testing can be added advantage.
- Any other duty assigned.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, computer science, or a related field 2 years proven experience in a similar role
Skills:
- Strong design skills and knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of responsive design principles and how to design for different devices and screen sizes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles
- Understanding of SEO and web analytics
- Familiarity with development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with digital marketing, conversion rate optimization and A/B testing can be added advantage.Strong customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software Strong time management and organization skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
